School Visit

To encourage dental health, Dr. Gallagher provides playful presentations for children. He visits schools, day cares and preschools to share with children what a dentist does and how to take care of their teeth.

Teachers and preschool providers appreciate the opportunity for the children and their families to learn about oral health care in a comfortable, relaxed setting like the children's classroom.

The children are taught about brushing their teeth and nutrition to help keep their mouths and bodies healthy. A typical dental visit is described to alleviate possible fears and misconceptions. One student gets to dress up like a dentist in a lab coat, mask, gloves, and protective glasses.

Dr. Gallagher makes an impression of fake teeth and describes its purpose for athletic mouth guards and study models. The little ones love touching the gooey stuff.

If your young children would benefit from a program like this, contact the office manager and Dr. Gallagher can visit your school too.
